Ambassador of Palestine State to Oman – Muscat

Ahmed Mahmoud Ahmed Al Rowaidhi

Ambassador Ahmed Al Rowaidhi was born in Jerusalem in 1968. He is married and has five children. He holds a master’s degree in law and has served in several official positions, the most recent of which was Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq.

He worked as an adviser to the Palestinian Presidency on Jerusalem affairs, Head of the Jerusalem Unit in the Palestinian Presidential Office, and Ambassador of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the State of Palestine.

He chaired the national team responsible for preparing the Strategic Development Plan for Jerusalem. He also served as Secretary of the Jerusalem Endowment Fund, and Secretary of the Higher National Committee for following up on the “Jerusalem: Capital of Arab Culture 2009” programme.

He is a lawyer and has worked as Director of the Centre for Citizen Rights and as a legal adviser at the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights. In addition, he is a member of the boards of trustees of several civil and community institutions.

He has been active in sports and community work, serving as Head of the Administrative Committee of Silwan Sports Club, one of the oldest Palestinian sports clubs. He also served as Secretary of the Islamic Al Maqasid Charitable Society, which oversees Al Maqasid Hospital and as a faculty member at Al Quds University and Al Quds Open University.

He has published several studies, research papers and books, the most recent of which is his book published by Al Jundi Publishing House, titled: “Mechanisms for the Protection of Real Estate Properties in Jerusalem”.
