Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a phone call with Dr Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the call the Ministers reviewed the latest efforts aimed at reaching an understanding between Iran and the United States of America over the nuclear issue and other outstanding issues, particularly those related to the freedom of maritime navigation in the region.

The Ministers exchanged views and consulted in an effort to help contain and deter attempts at escalation and to support a path of dialogue and constructive understanding, while safeguarding the rights of all parties and upholding international law.
