The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation of the attacks that targeted the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in the city of Basra in the Republic of Iraq. These attacks are a clear violation of international diplomatic norms and conventions that guarantee the inviolability of diplomatic missions and the safety of their personnel.

Oman affirms its firm rejection of such acts and stresses the need to respect the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and to ensure the protection of diplomatic and consular missions at all times and under all circumstances.
