The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation of the attacks that targeted the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Syrian capital, Damascus. The incident represents a clear violation of international diplomatic norms and conventions that guarantee the inviolability of diplomatic missions and the safety of their staff.
Oman affirms its resolute rejection of such acts that affect the security and safety of diplomatic premises. It also calls for respect for the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and for ensuring the protection of diplomatic missions at all times.
