Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister received Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, at the Foreign Ministry.

The meeting reviewed the friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus and explored ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields in support of the shared interests of the two friendly countries.

They also discussed developments in the ongoing war in the region and its repercussions. They called for de-escalation and an end to military operations, emphasising the need to uphold the principles of international law, respect the sovereignty of states and advance peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomacy. These efforts support regional and international security and stability and help ensure the sustainability of energy supply chains and the safety of international trade.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Nasser Alharthi, Ambassador Munther bin Mahfoudh Al Mandhari, Head of the Europe Department and Yevgeny Sobolevsky, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman.
