His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, relating to relations between the two countries.
The message was handed over to Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister when he received Humayun Kabir, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for Foreign Affairs.
The meeting reviewed relations and cooperation between the two countries. It also affirmed a shared keenness to enhance these relations to serve mutual interests and the aspirations of the two countries’ peoples.
They also exchanged views on developments in the region, stressing the importance of backing efforts to achieve peace and sustainable security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhosni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry; Rear Admiral Khondker Misbah Ul Azim, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials from both countries.
