Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, headed the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman to the 165th ordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, held via video conference.

The meeting addressed current developments and the serious escalation in the region, and their impact on the security, stability and interests of the region and the wider world. It also discussed the nomination of a Secretary General of the Arab League.

The delegation of Oman included Ambassador Abdullah Alrahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Sheikh Faisal Almarhoon, Head of the Arab Department, and a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry.
