Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a meeting this morning in Geneva with Steve Witkoff, the US President’s Envoy, and Jared Kushner. The meeting took place within the framework of the ongoing Iranian American negotiations.

The meeting reviewed the Iranian delegation’s views and proposals, as well as the responses and enquiries of the American negotiating team. Discussions addressed the main elements of Iran’s nuclear programme and the guarantees required to achieve the desired agreement on this important issue in all its technical and oversight aspects.

Sayyid Badr said that efforts are continuing in a constructive spirit, with an exchange of creative and positive ideas,. The Minister noted that the negotiators are showing openness to new and innovative ideas and solutions in an unprecedented manner. This approach helps create supportive conditions for progress and for reaching a fair agreement with sustainable guarantees, he added.

The talks are expected to resume later on Thursday.
