The Foreign Ministry has issued a strong condemnation of remarks by the United States Ambassador to Israel which imply illegitimate acceptance of imposing control over Arab territories, including the occupied Palestinian land.
The Ministry affirms its categorical rejection of such statements, which contravene international law and the Charter of the United Nations. It warns that they undermine prospects for peace and threaten security and stability in the region.
The Foreign Ministry reiterates the Sultanate of Oman’s firm support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on the 4 June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and for an end to the occupation of all Arab territories.
