Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received David Lammy, the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Justice and Deputy Prime Minister, at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat.

The meeting addressed topics related to the friendly relations between Oman and the UK and their cooperation across various fields.

Both countries also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and their implications. They highlighted the importance of intensifying international efforts to reduce tensions, expanding channels of dialogue and advancing peaceful and diplomatic solutions. These steps support security and stability at both regional and international levels. They also noted the importance of safeguarding maritime security and ensuring the smooth flow of maritime transport, which supports the stability of global supply chains.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Alhinai, Ambassador at large; Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Department for the GCC and Region, and a number of officials from both countries.
