Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister, received Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council and Defence Council of Ukraine.

The meeting touched upon the friendly relations and cooperation between Oman and Ukraine, as well as ways to develop their partnership for mutual benefit and to enhance common interests.

Regarding regional developments and the efforts exerted to achieve security and stability, the meeting affirmed support for policies of de-escalation, the containment of tensions, and the pursuit of consensual solutions to achieve lasting peace through dialogue and peaceful means between the concerned parties.

The meeting was attended by Munther Almandhari, Head of the Ministry’s Europe Department; Olga Selykh, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Oman; and officials from both Oman and Ukraine..
