The Sultanate of Oman expresses its condemnation of the Israeli Knesset’s approval of the so-called “law on the execution of prisoners”, and also condemns what it entails in terms of violation of international humanitarian law, particularly with regard to the protection of prisoners and detainees.

Oman affirms its rejection of any measures that legitimise harm to the lives of Palestinian prisoners or undermine their human rights. It calls on the international community to ensure respect for international law and to provide the necessary protection for prisoners and detainees.
