The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation of the targeting of energy facilities in the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar, as well as other attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Oman affirms the need to adhere to international laws and norms and to refrain from targeting civilian facilities and global energy supplies. Oman calls for de-escalation, an end to military operations and the prioritising of diplomatic solutions to resolve disputes in a way that preserves security and stability and safeguards the interests of the region and the wider world.

Oman also expresses solidarity with sisterly countries in the measures they take to protect their security and stability. It calls on the United Nations Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take the necessary steps to halt the war and its repercussions.

Oman affirms that addressing the root causes of the conflict through dialogue remains the most effective path to achieving lasting stability in the region.
