His Majesty holds telephone conversations with Gulf leaders

His Majesty issues two Royal Decrees

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, held telephone conversations this evening with His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain; and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During these calls, His Majesty inquired about the well-being of their countries and peoples. He expressed Oman’s condemnation and denunciation of the military escalation and its grave dangers, in light of the serious developments resulting from Israeli and American attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran. His Majesty warned of the repercussions of this on the security and stability of the region.

His Majesty emphasised the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, exercising restraint, immediately halting escalatory actions, and returning to dialogue and diplomacy in order to safeguard the security and stability of the region and the safety of its peoples.

For their part, Their Majesties and Highnesses expressed their deep appreciation for the balanced and wise approach adopted by Oman, under the leadership of His Majesty, in supporting peace, promoting dialogue, and bringing together the viewpoints of the various parties.
