Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a bilateral meeting on Wednesday evening in Geneva, Switzerland, with Seyyed Dr Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting took place within the framework of the ongoing indirect Iranian-American talks scheduled to be held today (Thursday), under the auspices of the Sultanate of Oman.
The Ministers discussed the latest developments and reviewed the views and proposals that the Iranian delegation will present to reach an agreement on the Iranian nuclear programme, based on the guiding principles agreed upon in the previous round of negotiations.
Sayyid Badr affirmed Oman’s continued commitment to supporting and facilitating the ongoing dialogue which aims to bridge the differences in viewpoints and reach acceptable and sustainable solutions regarding Iran’s nuclear programme and its future course.
Oman’s Foreign Minister is expected to meet with the American negotiating team this morning (Thursday) to convey the Iranian perspective and listen in turn to the ideas and proposals put forward by the American delegation.
