His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace to Dr Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the audience, the guest conveyed the greetings and thebest wishes of Dr Masoud Pezeshkian President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to His Majesty the Sultan. The Iranian President also wished the people of Oman progress and prosperity.

His Majesty in turn asked the guest to convey his greetings to President Pezeshkian, wishing Iran stability and prosperity.

The audience discussed the latest developments in the Iranian American negotiations. It also addressed pathways toward achieving a balanced and equitable agreement for all parties.

The meeting underscored the critical importance of resuming dialogue and returning to the negotiating table to bridge perspectives and resolve outstanding differences through peaceful means, such efforts being fundamental to promoting and sustaining peace and security both in the region and the world at large.

The audience was attended by General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office.
