Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received at the Foreign Ministry, Professor Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the National Assembly of the friendly Republic of Azerbaijan.

During their meeting, they praised the existing relations between the two friendly countries, voicing their support for further growth and development at both the governmental and parliamentary levels.

They also looked forward to expanding co-operation programmes in various political, economic, cultural and scientific fields. The meeting also discussed exchanging expertise and knowledge.

The meeting highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting understanding and dialogue between countries and peoples.

The meeting also saw an exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues, affirming the role of dialogue and international co-operation in promoting security and stability.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al Sulaimani, Member of the Shura Council and a number of officials from both countries.
