البيان الختامي لأعمال القمّة العربية الإسلامية يؤكّد دعمه المطلق لقطر وسيادتها في وجه العدوان الإسرائيلي

Conclusion of Arab-Islamic Summit affirms full support for Qatar’s sovereignty

16 September 2025

The final communiqué of the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha affirmed its absolute support for the sisterly State of Qatar, its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens, standing united by its side in the face of the Israeli aggression.

The communiqué stated that the absence of international accountability and the silence of the international community towards the repeated violations by Israel had encouraged it to persist in its attacks and its blatant breach of international law and UN resolutions. This, it said, entrenches a policy of impunity, undermines the international justice system, and poses a direct threat to regional and international peace and security.

Conclusion of Arab-Islamic Summit affirms full support for Qatar’s sovereignty

The statement affirmed that the brutal Israeli aggression against the sisterly State of Qatar, and the continuation of its hostile practices — including acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing, siege, starvation, and expansionist settlement and political activities — constitutes a direct threat to peace and security in the region and undermines prospects for achieving peace and peaceful coexistence.

It strongly condemned the cowardly and unlawful attack launched by Israel on a residential district in the Qatari capital Doha, which housed accommodation for negotiating delegations, as well as several schools, nurseries, and diplomatic missions. The attack resulted in the killing of several people, including a Qatari citizen, and the injury of a number of civilians.

It reaffirmed support for the efforts made by Arab countries, led by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, to stop the aggression on the Gaza Strip.

It rejected in the strongest terms any attempts to justify this aggression under any pretext, describing it as a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and a direct attempt to undermine international efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza and to reach a just and comprehensive political solution that ends the occupation, alleviates the suffering of the Palestinian people, and safeguards their legitimate rights.

The statement also rejected the repeated Israeli threats to target Qatar or any Arab or Islamic country, describing them as a provocation and a dangerous escalation that threatens international peace and security.

It welcomed the decision of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level on the “Joint Vision for Security and Cooperation in the Region” and the reaffirmation of the concept of collective security and shared destiny for Arab and Islamic countries, stressing the need for unity to confront common challenges.

The statement underlined the need to resist Israeli plans to impose a new reality in the region, considering them a direct threat to regional and international security and stability.

It condemned any Israeli attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their lands occupied in 1967 under any pretext or name, considering this a crime against humanity and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. It also condemned the Israeli policies that caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where siege and starvation are used as weapons of war against civilians, stressing that this constitutes a war crime that requires urgent action by the international community.

The statement warned of the catastrophic consequences of any Israeli decision to annex any part of the occupied Palestinian territories, describing it as a blatant assault on the historical and legal rights of the Palestinian people and a complete sabotage of peace efforts.

It called on the international community to take urgent action to stop Israel’s repeated attacks on Qatar and other countries in the region, and to end its ongoing violations of the sovereignty, security, and stability of states. It also reaffirmed the need to uphold international legitimacy and UN resolutions, and rejected Israel’s use of Islamophobia to justify its continued violations.

The final communiqué of the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit welcomed the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the “New York Declaration” on the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
