UK: Shabab Oman II receives guests in Portsmouth
The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) Shabab Oman II, received a number of senior officials and diplomats, while docked at Portsmouth in the United Kingdom.
The ship welcomed Badr Almantheri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom; Councillor Gerald Vernon-Jackson, the Mayor of Portsmouth; Vice Admiral Martin Connell, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UK's Royal Navy; Air Commodore Abdulnasser Alshekaili, Military Attaché at Oman's Embassy in London, along with a number of other military attachés and diplomats based in the United Kingdom.
During their tour on board, the guests viewed various exhibits and learned about the ship’s cultural mission, which embodies Oman’s rich maritime history and highlights its role in fostering communication and friendship among nations.
