Oman–UK Joint Working Group convenes in London
The 17th session of the Oman–UK Joint Working Group was held, in London.
The Omani delegation was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the British delegation was headed by Hamish Falconer, Under-Secretary of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The meeting reviewed various aspects of relations and discussed ways to further strengthen them to achieve desired outcomes. It also discussed prospects for further cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, sports, and education and training.
On the sidelines of the meeting, an agreement on the employment of diplomats’ spouses was signed.
The meeting was attended by Badr Almantheri, Oman's Ambassador to the UK; Dr Liane Saunders, the UK’s Ambassador to Oman, and representatives of government bodies in both countries.
