The two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern especially the truce in Yemen, negotiations to resume the JCPOA and the war in Ukraine.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America also participated in the meeting, which the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Yemen attended as a guest.
The summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was attended by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries; the President of the United States, Joe Biden; His Majesty King Abdallah II of Jordan; President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of Egypt and Mustafa al Kazemi, Prime Minister of Iraq.
The workshop included an introduction to the principles of Oman's foreign policy.
The two sides welcomed the announcement of the renewal of the ceasefire in the Republic of Yemen.
In the Interview the Foreign Minister speaks about the war in Ukraine, relations with Israel and Oman's mediating diplomacy.
During the call they exchanged views on current issues of common interest emphasising the importance of supporting all efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability.
The agreement authorises spouses of official employees in diplomatic missions to work in non-government institutions in the receiving country.
