Oman Saudi Coordination Council discusses enhancing cooperation
The Omani-Saudi Coordination Council met in Muscat for its third session, co-chaired by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting saw the participation of heads of subcommittees and the secretaries of the Council’s General Secretariat, with discussions on the strategic partnership between the two neighbouring nations.

At the start of the meeting, Sayyid Badr said that the Coordination Council serves as the primary framework for exploring and following up on joint cooperation initiatives. He highlighted the progress achieved since the Council's first session, particularly in terms of boosting intra-regional trade and joint investments, deepening cooperation in legal and security frameworks, expanding shared initiatives to promote regional travel and heritage, and maintaining a continuous dialogue on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Prince Faisal spoke of the Council's role as an effective tool for driving relations forward. He noted that this Muscat meeting is a direct continuation of the second Council meeting held in Al Ula in December 2024.

At the close of proceedings, the Ministers signed the minutes of the third meeting, which includes approved recommendations and work programmes. This roadmap is designed to align the partnership with the ambitious goals of Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030.
This meeting of the Coordination Council reinforces the deep-rooted historical ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia, reflecting the direct instructions of the leadership in both countries to achieve full integration.
