His Majesty departs for Algeria

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed for the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria on a two-day state visit during which he will meet with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

This visit comes in response to an invitation extended to His Majesty by President Tebboune. It reflects the strong ties between the two brotherly countries and aims to strengthen cooperation across various fields, while opening new horizons for partnership and investment that serve the mutual interests of the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by: Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of the Sultan; Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Albusaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Albusaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Alshibaniyah, Minister of Education; Nasr bin Hamoud Alkindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs; Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Alharthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Alshraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Alhilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Alraisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces; Major General Matar bin Salim Albalushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Alghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman; Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Alrahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman; and Major General Musallam bin Mohammed Taman Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.

Accompanying His Majesty on his visit is a high-level official delegation that includes: Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Khalid bin Hilal Albusaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court; Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Alnomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi; Dr Hamad bin Said Alaufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Almurshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Dr Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources; Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; and Ambassador Saif bin Nasser Albaddaei, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
