Oman condemns Israeli attacks on Syria

17 July 2025

The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces’ attacks on the Syrian Arab Republic, its national sovereignty, and the blatant violation of international law.

Oman renews its firm call on the international community—particularly the UN Security Council—to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities to ensure Israel’s full withdrawal from the occupied Syrian territories, halt all hostile actions affecting civilians, and implement a comprehensive political solution in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254. The resolution aims to restore stability in Syria through a Syrian-led transitional process.

The Foreign Ministry reaffirms Oman’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its solidarity with the Syrian people. It also calls for intensified international efforts to protect civilians and alleviate their suffering by providing the necessary humanitarian aid.
