Foreign Minister meets Swiss counterpart in New York

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Ignazio Cassis, Foreign Minister of Switzerland, on the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting highlighted the commitment to friendship and cooperation between Oman and Switzerland, and their keenness to develop it in advanced technology, scientific and economic fields, as well as through exchanges of visits and expertise and the development of skills.

The two Ministers also held consultations and exchanged views on mediation efforts to foster understanding and reduce tensions, in addition to supporting and encouraging dialogue on complex regional issues, and addressing them in ways that help overcome challenges and promote security, stability and peace.

The meeting was attended by officials from both countries.
