Uzbekistan: Ambassador receives members of Omani national taekwondo team

The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan, AlSayyida Wafa Albusaidi, received the elite Omani taekwondo athletes, Dawood Al Yousufi and Fidaa Al Barwani, accompanied by their parents. The meeting was attended by  Badr Alhousni, Deputy Head of Mission.

Dawood Al Yousufi won gold at the Asian Championship and silver at the World Championship in the juniors category. Fidaa Al Barwani is recognised as the top female taekwondo athlete in Oman and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The visit took place during  the athletes’ participation in a training camp in Tashkent, where they will train with leading players and world champions in taekwondo.
