بيان عربي إسلامي مشترك لإدانة العدوان الإسرائيلي على إيران

Joint Arab Islamic statement condemns Israeli aggression against Iran

20 June 2025

In light of the rapidly evolving regional developments and the unprecedented escalation of tensions in the Middle East, the Sultanate of Oman continues its intensive diplomatic efforts to urge the international community to adopt all peaceful means to halt the Israeli aggression, against Iran – an act that constitutes a blatant violation of international, humanitarian and moral laws, and seeks to undermine efforts toward a fair US-Iran agreement to prevent nuclear proliferation.

In this context, the Sultanate of Oman, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and a number of Arab and Islamic countries have issued a joint statement condemning the Israeli attacks, which started on June 13, 2025.

The statement firmly rejects military escalation, calls for respect of state sovereignty and advocates for the peaceful resolution of disputes. It expresses deep concern over the consequences of the escalation, urges an end to hostilities and calls for the region to be free of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.

It also stresses the need to avoid targeting nuclear facilities and to resume negotiations as the only path to resolving the crisis, while ensuring respect for international freedom of navigation.

Meanwhile, Oman will participate in an extraordinary meeting of Foreign Ministers of Islamic countries tomorrow, Saturday, in Istanbul. The Sultanate will be represented by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, in support of collective diplomatic efforts.
