Two Omani projects among top 13 at global Youth Science Forum
Two Omani research projects have been selected among the top 13 globally to be showcased at the 66th London International Youth Science Forum 2025 (LIYSF).
The Sultanate of Oman is represented at the forum by five innovative scientific projects, chosen from more than 340 local research and innovation submissions. Two of these qualified for the elite global shortlist, reflecting the excellence of Omani youth in scientific research and innovation.
Hala Ali Al Zaabi is presenting a project, proposing an innovative, eco-friendly solution for treating industrial waste using locally sourced natural materials.
A project proposed by Almuntaser Salim Saif Al Mamari, aims to develop sustainable solutions in the field of clean energy using artificial intelligence technologies.
The selection of both projects reflects the high level of scientific excellence achieved by Omani youth and their growing role in delivering innovative research solutions to address global challenges, particularly in the fields of environment, energy and advanced technologies.
The forum, held in London from July 23 to August 6, brings together a select group of researchers and talented students from around the world.
It is considered one of the leading international platforms celebrating innovation and research in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
