
Ministry completes operation to repatriate citizens from Iran
In accordance with the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, and in cooperation with government, military, security and civil authorities, the Foreign Ministry has successfully completed the process of facilitating the return of Omani citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with a number of nationals from friendly and brotherly countries. The total number of those repatriated reached 2,013 individuals.
This initiative was undertaken in response to the exceptional developments in the Islamic Republic of Iran and out of the utmost concern for the safety and security of Omani citizens and all those involved in the operation.
The process was carried out with high efficiency and in close coordination with the relevant authorities, Omani Embassies in Tehran and other friendly and brotherly capitals, and through positive cooperation with the Iranian authorities.
The operation included the provision of all necessary facilities, including diplomatic and technical support, field assistance, and continuous follow-up to ensure the safe return of all individuals to the Sultanate.
The Foreign Ministry expresses its deep appreciation for the constructive cooperation shown by the Iranian authorities in facilitating the operation, and values the support provided by friendly and brotherly countries, that contributed to the success of this joint humanitarian effort.
Through this initiative, the Sultanate of Oman reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the protection of its citizens in all circumstances, the promotion of humanitarian solidarity, and its consistent support for regional and international efforts to safeguard peace and stability.
