His Majesty visits Martyrs’ Memorial in Algeria
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and the National Mujahid Museum in the Algerian capital, as part of his state visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Upon his arrival at the site of the memorial on Al Alnasir Plateau, His Majesty inspected the guard of honour, which saluted him in the presence of Algerian officials. His Majesty then laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial.
Afterwards, from the top of the plateau, he listened to a briefing on the old city, the port, and the surrounding areas.
His Majesty then toured the National Mujahid Museum, where he received a detailed explanation of its history, contents and purpose.
At the end of his tour, His Majesty wrote a message in the visitors' book, expressing his pleasure at visiting this historic landmark, which documents an important period in the history of Algeria.
His Majesty also thanked the museum staff for their warm welcome and wished them continued success.
His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied during the visit by the official delegation.
