Oman welcomes United States efforts to end the war in Gaza

The Sultanate of Oman expresses its welcome for the efforts undertaken by the United States, led by President Donald Trump, to end the war in the Gaza Strip and to reach an agreement that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people and guarantees their legitimate rights with the response of Hamas to the plan. All this paves the way for a full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Strip, the creation of conditions for reconstruction, the prevention of the displacement of the Palestinian people, and the support of efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace.

Oman reaffirms its confidence in the efforts made by all countries to find a peaceful and lasting solution in Gaza. It hopes these efforts will result in the urgent and effective delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, and in laying the foundation for peace based on the two-state solution, ensuring the Palestinian people establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy and the principles of international law.
