Minister meets Saudi counterpart in New York

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation and the strong fraternal ties between the two countries. It also included an exchange of views on regional and international issues, particularly those on the agenda of the current UN session, as well as pressing challenges and priorities for joint international action.

Sayyid Badr praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the path towards a just and comprehensive peace through the implementation of the two-state solution.

The two Ministers underlined the importance of sustaining and intensifying regional and international efforts aimed at ending the brutal war in Gaza, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, and working towards the resumption of a serious political process to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
