Political Undersecretary meets UN representatives in Oman

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, met at the Ministry’s headquarters with representatives of UN offices in Oman.

The meeting brought together Jocelyn Vennard, Representative of the United Nations Population Fund; Dr John Jabbour, Representative of the World Health Organisation; Soumya R. Choudhury, Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF); and Dr Thaer Yaseen, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

The discussions reviewed cooperation between Oman and the United Nations, and ways to enhance coordination with UN offices operating in Oman. The meeting also touched on the United Nations’ 80th anniversary celebrations.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed Alqatbi, Head of the International Organisations Department at the Foreign Ministry.
