The meeting discussed areas of cooperation and partnership between Oman and Lithuania in the field of air transport, logistics, information technology and communications.
The session affirmed the two countries keenness to enhance cooperation in economic and commercial fields. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of common concern, stressing their commitment to the principles of international law.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda received Sayyid Badr Albusaidi at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America also participated in the meeting, which the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Yemen attended as a guest.
The summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was attended by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries; the President of the United States, Joe Biden; His Majesty King Abdallah II of Jordan; President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of Egypt and Mustafa al Kazemi, Prime Minister of Iraq.
During the visit, His Majesty held talks with the German President Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz.
The meeting aimed to boost trade relations and promote investment opportunities between the two countries in various spheres.
