Omani and Thai businesses discuss trade cooperation

A trade delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand, comprising representatives of Thai companies operating in the fields of food security, healthcare, perfumes, and cosmetics, is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

Faisal Abdullah Alrowas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), received the delegation in the presence of Warunee PAN-Krajang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting emphasised expanding the scope of trade and investment exchange between the two countries.

During bilateral meetings, business executives from Oman and Thailand discussed ways to enhance cooperation in trade and investment, as well as exploring opportunities in sectors including food security, healthcare, perfumes, and cosmetics.

These meetings stem from the Chamber’s strategic priorities aligned with Oman Vision 2040, aimed at improving the business environment and broadening economic diversification by enabling the Omani private sector to establish partnerships with counterparts abroad.
