Oman welcomes US President's efforts to consolidate ceasefire in Gaza

The Foreign Ministry welcomes the efforts led by US President Donald Trump to consolidate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. It also welcomes steps to implement the peace plan adopted by the United Nations Security Council under Resolution 2803. The plan upholds the Palestinian people’s right to self determination and to establish an independent state, in line with international legitimacy reflected in relevant Security Council resolutions.

The Ministry calls for a clear roadmap with a defined timetable. This approach should lead to the implementation of the two state solution. It will help entrench security and stability in the region. It will also support a transition to a sustainable phase of peaceful coexistence, reconstruction and prosperous economic development.
