Oman and Bulgaria discuss ways to enhance relations
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Bulgaria held a round of official talks in the capital city Sofia, with the aim of enhancing relations.
The Omani delegation was headed by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister, while the Bulgarian delegation was led by Rosen Dimitrov Zhelyazkov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The session dealt with various aspects of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and explored developing partnerships in economic, cultural and scientific fields, with the prime objective of securing joint benefits and realising common interests.
During the talks, the two delegations also exchanged views about regional and international issues of common concern. They expressed their keenness to foster diplomatic coordination, and to hold regular consultations and exchange visits in order to meet their shared goals and uphold their shared values that call for consolidating the pillars of peace and security and achieving international justice, peaceful coexistence and prosperity among nations.
The session was attended by Yousef Aljabri, the Sultanate of Oman's non resident Ambassador to Bulgaria; Munthir Almandheri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry, and other officials from the two countries.
