
Oman and United States hold strategic dialogue session
The Third US-Oman Strategic Dialogue was held at the Diplomatic Club in Muscat.
The Omani delegation was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the US delegation was led by Allison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.

The two delegations discussed ways to maximise benefits from the US-Oman Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and increase US investments in Oman’s priority sectors including the digital economy, technology, space, mining, logistics, aviation and infrastructure.
Oman and the U.S. also discussed cooperation in the fields of education and culture, particularly educational programmes, academic and professional exchanges, and investment in innovation and scientific research.
The two delegations also exchanged views on regional and international issues. They stressed the importance of supporting peace efforts, stability and development.
The Omani delegation announced the Sultanate of Oman's agreement to accede to the Artemis Accords on the future of space exploration.
Oman and the United States signed a Statement of Cooperation to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, which also celebrates the historical relations between the two friendly countries. They also signed a memorandum of understanding on partnership and cooperation between the US Embassy in Oman and the Oman American Business Centre (AmCham Oman).
