
Oman and Botswana establish diplomatic relations
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Botswana signed a joint statement in New York to establish diplomatic relations, building on the cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
The Statement was signed on behalf of the Government of Oman by Ambassador Omar Alkathiri, Oman’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and on behalf of the Government of Botswana by Ambassador Charles Masole, Botswana’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Ambassador Alkathiri said that the signing of the joint statement reflects the interest of both governments in establishing diplomatic relations, laying the foundation for enhanced dialogue and opening avenues for cooperation that serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
Ambassador Masole said that Botswana’s Government is looking forward to advancing relations between the two countries.
