Oman and South Africa discuss cooperation
Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy Undersecretary for Political Affairs, received today at the Foreign Ministry Anna Thandi Moraka, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa.
The meeting discussed cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of South Africa in various fields, including plans to establish a joint economic forum in Muscat.
It also discussed boosting tourism cooperation by facilitating procedures and encouraging initiatives related to the sector.
In an exchange of views on regional issues. Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, expressed appreciation for South Africa’s firm stance against the genocide being committed against Palestinians as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ war.
The South African Deputy Minister praised the active role played by the Sultanate of Oman in resolving regional issues through peaceful means.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Saleh Alsuqri, Head of the Africa Department; Mogobo David Magabe, South African Ambassador and several officials from both delegations.
