Oman and Russia hold a strategic dialogue session

The Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation held the second session of the Oman-Russia Strategic Dialogue.

The Omani delegation, at the session held in Muscat ,was headed by Major General Idris bin Abdulrahman Al Kindi, Secretary General of the National Security Council, with the participation of Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, along with representatives from the concerned military, security and civil institutions.

The Russian delegation was led by Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, accompanied by a number of senior Russian officials.

During the session, the two delegations reaffirmed the genuine desire of their leaders to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves their common interests and advances their relations towards further progress and prosperity in various fields. They also discussed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest.
