Oman and Russia discuss developing cooperation

Sheikh Khalid Almuslahi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, met in Sochi with Sergey Vasilievich Vershinin, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the eighth joint ministerial meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.

The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to enlarge them. It also reviewed the ongoing preparations for the Arab-Russian Summit that Russia is scheduled to host in October.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Department for the GCC and Region, Hamood Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, and various Ministry officials.
