
Oman and Kenya hold political consultations
The first round of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kenya was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Muscat.
The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Kenyan delegation was headed by Dr Abraham Korir Sing’Oei, Principal Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

The consultations discussed the existing relations between the two friendly countries and reviewed available opportunities for trade and investment exchanges, as well as ways to enhance cooperation to make use of them.
A number of regional issues of mutual interest were also addressed.

The session was attended from Oman by Dr Mohammed bin Ali Albalushi, Head of the Africa Department, and from Kenya by Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, Acting Principal Secretary for Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, Shadrack Mwadime, Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, and Abdi Aden Korio, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Sultanate of Oman, along with several officials from both countries.
