Oman and Hong Kong explore cooperation opportunities

The Invest Oman Lounge welcomed a high-level investment delegation representing Hong Kong Investors to discuss economic cooperation and explore partnership opportunities, aiming to strengthen economic relations and open new horizons for joint growth.

The delegation included a diverse group of representatives from promising sectors such as consulting, venture capital, digital asset management and financial technology.

Their participation reflects the wide range of investment interests Hong Kong aims to explore in the Omani market.

The delegation met with several government representatives to discuss potential areas of cooperation, including support for emerging enterprises, digital asset management, expertise exchange and the creation of new channels for joint investment to support the development goals of both Oman and Hong Kong.

Ibtisam Alfarouji,  Investment Promotion Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion said  that the visit reflects the depth of economic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Hong Kong.

She noted that these meetings serve as a strategic platform for exchanging expertise and expanding cooperation in key sectors.

King Leung head of delegation and Global Head of financial Services, Fintech, and Sustainability, in Hong Kong, said that the relationship between Oman and Hong Kong is built on strong foundations of friendship and mutual understanding.

He noted that the delegation's visit comes at a time when Oman is strengthening its position as a regional and global investment destination, thanks to its stable economic environment and strategic location.
