Oman and Belarus sign agreement to set up a joint committee
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus signed an agreement to establish a joint committee dedicated to enhancing cooperation in various fields between the two friendly countries.
The signing took place in the Belarusian capital Minsk, in the presence of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, and Viktor Lukashenko, President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus and Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Oman by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, and on behalf of Belarus by Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, non–resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Belarus and Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, along with a number of Belarusian officials.
