The Royal Navy of Oman’s ship Shabab Oman II was awarded the Sea Ambassadors Prize during its participation in the crew parade at the SAIL Amsterdam Festival 2025, hosted by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The ship’s crew earned this award in recognition of their remarkable military discipline during the parade, their display of traditional Omani dress, and their performance of Omani folk music, which captivated the audience and presented a vivid image of Oman’s heritage and authenticity.

Princess Laurentien of the Dutch Royal Family visited Shabab Oman II while it was docked at the Port of Amsterdam, reflecting the depth of the historical ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Netherlands.
