His Majesty holds official talks with Lebanese President

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and General Joseph Aoun, President of the Republic of Lebanon held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace.

At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome to President Aoun and his accompanying delegation. The Lebanese President in turn expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for the warm welcome and hospitality.

The session explored opportunities to open new horizons for cooperation, partnership and investment between Oman and Lebanon, particularly in the commercial, industrial, agricultural and tourism sectors. In addition, the two leaders discussed the political developments in the region and means to support pathways towards security and stability.

The session of talks was attended from the Oman by: His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan; His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Albusaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Albusaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office; Dr Mahad bin Said Ba’owain, Minister of Labour; and Dr Ahmed Alsaidi, Oman's Ambassador to Lebanon.

The talks were attended from Lebanon by: Youssef Raggi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants,; Major General Michel Mansi, Minister of National Defence; Ahmed Al-Hajjar, Minister of Interior; Nizar Hani, Minister of Agriculture; Dr Rakan Nasser El-Din, Minister of Public Health; and Brigadier General André Rahal, Adviser to the President.
