His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, held an official session of talks at Al Barakah Palace.

The high-level discussions focused on reviewing the extensive framework of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India. The talks explored strategic avenues to expand this partnership and unlock new investment frontiers, with particular emphasis on the sectors of energy, technology, logistics, food security, manufacturing and agricultural production. Enhancing cultural and educational exchanges was also affirmed as a key priority. This collaborative approach is designed to advance the mutual strategic interests and long-term aspirations of both countries.

The meeting also featured a substantive exchange of views on the most pressing regional and international developments.

The official session of talks was attended from Oman by General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Pankaj Khimji, Adviser for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Issa  Alshaibani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of India.

Attending from India were Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs; Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry; Ajit Doval, National Security Adviser; Shri G.V Srinivas, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Sultanate of Oman and senior officials from the Indian government.
