Minister and his Turkish counterpart hold joint press conference in Ankara
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of the friendly Republic of Türkiye, held a joint press conference in the Turkish capital Ankara at the conclusion of their official consultations.

Oman's Foreign Minister highlighted the depth and strength of the relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Türkiye. He noted that the discussions reflected the advanced level of bilateral cooperation.
He said the meeting built on the momentum witnessed in relations following the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Türkiye in 2024 and the visit of the President of Türkiye to Oman at the end of 2025. These visits resulted in a convergence of views and a shared will to strengthen partnership across political, economic and investment fields.

Sayyid Badr explained that the two Ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues. Foremost among these was the Palestinian cause. He underlined the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance and support for a political process aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace.
For his part, Hakan Fidan praised the strength of Turkish Omani relations. He welcomed the constructive role played by Oman in supporting dialogue and bringing viewpoints closer together. He affirmed his country’s keenness to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint coordination in ways that contribute to supporting security and stability in the region.
