Speech of Sayyid Badr Albusaidi at honour award ceremony in Bulgaria

Speech delivered by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister the Sultanate of Oman, during the ceremony in which he was awarded the Badge of Honour of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. The ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Sofia on July 4,  2025, under the patronage of President Rumen Radev, in recognition of the Minister's efforts to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Bulgaria:

“Mr President, ladies and gentlemen,

“I am humbled and deeply honoured to receive the Badge of Honour of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria,

“I thank you for the great kindness you have shown me.

“It has been my good fortune to work with valued Bulgarian colleagues over this recent period.

“The Badge of Honour embodies the universal values which we share, and as such, I receive it with pride and gratitude.

“In the troubled world in which we live, it is of the utmost importance that we treasure the values we share, values that are precious to all humankind, values that are far beyond religious or ethnic identities, values that bring us together and reflect our shared humanity.

“Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, I am happy to be with you today, and honoured to bring you friendly and warm greetings from the Sultanate of Oman.
